Decorated mirror

I was storaging used eggs' cartons for some reason that I didn't know.
So checking Pinterest (holy pinterest!!), I found a good idea and decided to try it.
I cut, painted and used some glue. I had this mirror from another decor frame that I bought at Kmart but the frame was broken.
I was confused about which color i would paint the "flowers": white or gold. I chose white to give a vintage idea.
I used command to put in the wall of my bathroom.
In total I've used three empty eggs' cartons for it.

I liked it!

Small snow tree - Fun craft with kids

This is what we did (my son and I) after playing outside!
While real snow doesn´t arrive, our goal is to find more and create our own forest of snow trees! lol

One thing is certain here, my kiddo loves doing this: our small adventure to catch the "trees", painting with a brush, looking at me cutting the star!

I love craft time with my boy!

Frame with butterflies

I found this frame in a Thrief store and had to buy it.
I love this kind of "box-frame". It was less than $5. Ok, not very cheap but neither expensive. I just cut the butterflies and fixed using some glue.

Wall decor w/ cheap frames + favorite pics

I always loved the idea of wall decor with photos. Because 1- I love pictures and 2- It helps me to remind special moments in my daily routine.

I've been in several stores and bought a few frames (from Dolar tree, from a local thrift store and tjmaxx), printed my photos on cvs (upload online and in the next day went to pickup and pay: this was really easy!), got some "command strips" (i love this!!!) and done:

I still want to put more frames but so far I liked anyway!

A Wreath for my Front door!

Honestly, I think I only put wreath in my front doors for Christmas. That's nothing very common for me. But I saw so many easy-cheap & quick ideas to create the wreath that I decided to give it a try.

So, went to pinterest again (thanks!) and using the following materials:
- Wreath support
- A false flower
- A wood painted letter in white
- Twisted Jute Twine
- Burlap?

Yep. I don't know how to do a tie, it's quite evident in below picture. Anyway, it is what it is and I liked. A wreath for less than $10!

"Painted" Mugs

I got some white small mugs from a guy who lived in the house I am living now and I had no clue what to do with it. It was not big to drink milk. It's more for tea and we don't usually drink tea at home. So, I decided to do something different and "paint" the mugs!

Material that I needed:
- Mugs
- Painters (special for porcelain - found in Joann and Walmart too)
- Patience :)

The first drawing that I made was awful. So I erased several times until I finally finish the first one. I searched for ideas in pinterest and found the birds, also the "snow man" came from pinterest. The others I just wanted to do a ballerina and a cupcake.

After I finished drawing, I let the mugs for 24h and then baked 30min in 350'.

Now it's in my kitchen! Come to visit me to see it :)

Heart of Buttons!

I loved the idea of using buttons to create different decoration.
I have no talent to sew. So, my house always had extra buttons.
So, another day I just tried to do this. Me and my little helper. He helped me to colour the wood with gold ink and after that he helped me to put the buttons!

Material that I needed;
- A small wood
- Gold Ink
- A brush ( actually two, one for me and another for my assistant)
- Red buttons (a small pack)
- Hot Melt glue + gun
- Painter - black to write

I actually didn't like the "family" word, it's a little crooked but anyway we had a lot of fun doing this!
I want to do more things with buttons!

Decor with Flowers

Sometimes when I have no creativity to decor my house I buy flowers. It's auto-decorative. Flowers brings energy, fresh air and color for any place.

So, these are a few flowers that I bought recently to my home and a few that I had seen in the past:

I got a used tomatoes sauce recipient, washed and used the glass as a jair!
This photo was a wedding in the beach that we went last year and it had a lot of flowers in jairs to decor the table.
White Roses!
Tropical flowers! I really like these. It's kind of exotic.
Amazing Orchid! This one is from my sis in law collection!
More Roses! They are not my favorite but the fresh red are beautiful always!
Actually any fresh rose is fantastic. These are orange/yellow.
These purple are from my parents' garden!
In NH they use flowers to decorate the avenues of the city
Gerberas!
These are orchids in the three in front of a house that I visited. Just the perfect decoration in the house entrance!
Did I mention how much I love orchids?
These are all special, gift of my husband!
This is the most special one that I ever had ! My husband gave me for my first mothers' day, which was almost three years ago. It had flowers for three months and then died and reflower after three months of my baby was born! And had flowers and strong flowers. It's kind of part of the family. I couldn't bring it with me (travel more than 10 hours in an airplane wouldn't be a good idea I think!) but it still alive and decorating my stepmother in law (?) house!
